SV – Super Mario Bros. Stereotype Italians

Mario and his brother Luigi from the Super Mario Bros. video games are easily two of the most recognizable characters in the world, and possibly the first Italians introduced to many. Thanks to these video games people around the world are led to believe that Italians are violent fire-throwing, shroom-consuming, star-chasing, brick-breaking, coin-snatching, pipe-dwelling plumbers. That is simply not true, and a protest has risen to lay these stereotypes to rest (language is possibly NSFW):
Shame on Nintendo for perpetuating such negative stereotypes, but kudos to the Italian Anti-Defamation League for taking a stand, even if it does mean battling women-capturing gorillas who lunge barrels at you. This injustice has gone on for too long, especially that assh**e frog! BarelyPolitical, well done. (In case you don’t get the reference in the video it pertains mainly to the 1981 arcade game Donkey Kong where Mario was first introduced to the world.)
