SV – Everything Sounds Better When Auto-Tuned

This week’s Spotted Video was suggested by JennyCan’tSing who assured me that “it is hi-lare-reus,” and I can’t argue. The video covers various news topics being discussed in auto-tune! I am a sucker for auto-tune, because it really does make everything sound better. This should be the next step newscasters take when providing the news. I, for one, would take bad news a lot easier if given in auto-tune over a snappy beat I can tap my feet to. Imagine if the swine flu, or H1N1 influenza, was reported in auto-tune everybody would be singing about it instead of wearing a surgical mask. Speaking of which I heard a joke, “90 people have been affected by the swine flu and everyone wants to wear a surgical mask, a million people have AIDS and no one wants to wear a condom.” (Too soon?)
Kudos to the YouTube channel schmoyoho for bringing this innovative form of outreach to the masses (well over 1 mil. views in under a month). The lyrics aren’t always very clear, but it is provided under “more info” so be sure to check it out because it’s pretty entertaining. The best part of the video however is hands-down Katie Couric in auto-tune, she can definitely give the auto-tune vets, T-Pain, Lil’ Wayne and Kanye West a run for their money. Shawty’s flow is schmooove. Check out schmoyoho’s channel for more auto-tunage goodness.
