Susan Boyle vs. Patti LuPone – Let’s Get It On!!

By now you’ve probably heard of the new web sensation Susan Boyle, and I must say the never-been-kissed 47-year-old songstress from Scotland has got some major pipes. If you haven’t heard of her because you still believe the internet is a fad then allow me to catch you up; Boyle shot to stardom performing “I Dreamed a Dream” from the musical Les Misérables on Britain’s Got Talent and her voice was shortly heard around the world. You can finally get back into the loop at the water cooler by watching the video here (embedding has been disabled).
Ms. Boyle was recently interviewed on CBS’s The Early Show along with Patti LuPone, the original singer:

Both Boyle and LuPone are tremendous songbirds, but it has to be settled, who’s better? Supercool’s Creative Director Dave says LuPone FTW! While Supercool’s Campaign Strategist Matt scores Boyle. They are now not speaking to each other (which makes our three-way calling conversations very uncomfortable). I’ve lost sleep over this decision, but I’ve ultimately sided with Boyle because of this song. Help us settle this, so we can get back to work. Who’s the better singer? Who “Dreamed a Dream” better? Does Susan “Boyle” the competition? Or does Patti Lu”Pone” from the beginning (I just had to, forgive me!)?

Thank you soooooo much for the Cry Me a River link!!! I bought it after I heard it. That song makes me wanna cry! Susan Boyle blows that other lady out the water!! She’s okay, but Susan wins for sure.

Makes you want to cry? Oh c’mon, it’s not that bad. But yes, I agree the song is amazing. Now if I can only convince people it’s not Susan Boyle covering the Justin Timberlake song…

Susan Boyle has a great voice and for me she was one of the best contestants.
